Power of Praise is a ministry developed to specifically affect youth and young adults. A mixture of Biblical sermonettes, a structured sermon, and a concert focused on artists proclaiming the message across different genres of christian music, Power of Praise ministers to youth and young adults who may not normally step inside of a church. This ministry is completely donation and sponsorship driven. The first Power of Praise sold tickets and collected donations. ALL collected ticket sales and donations were given to Arkansas Childrens Hospital located in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Past performers and speakers include Scott Poynter, The Plea, Paul Harris, Caleb's Crossing, Michael Treat, and Mike Streezy. The unique aspect of this ministry is the diversity involved. Christian Comedy, Praise Bands, Christian Rock Bands, Christian Country, and Christian Rap all graced the stage alongside a biblically based sermon with sermonettes between performances. There is no other active ministry in Little Rock, Arkansas that merges this type of diversity.
Planning for the next Power of Praise has already begun. We will be bringing down FLAME, a Grammy nominated Christian rap artist, to headline the next Power of Praise. Other additions will include a conference for youth pastors and leadership, male youth, and female youth. Each group will have a speaker that will encourage and motivate those involved to find ways to reach out into our communities and beyond to affect the world by spreading the message of Jesus Christ. The speakers for the conference this year include FLAME, Mike Streezy, and J.I.C.
Being that this is a 100% FREE concert and we will have promotional costs, budgets for speakers, and artists, as well as general administration costs, we are in need of sponsorships and donations. If upon praying about this ministry, you find yourself called to support us in some way, please complete the form found in the link below. We appreciate any and all help to spread this vital message and continue in our mission to live the Great Commission.
