Learning how to be Grown, Grindin', and Godly. I went through some things and felt the need to read Psalms since I felt like I could relate to David at the time. I felt like I was being chased, like the enemy wanted me dead. I found wisdom and direction in his words. You will hear quotes from several of the initial chapters. God spoke to me and gave me the verses I needed and I used this song to sort through how I felt.

This is one of the first songs I sat down and just felt overwhelmed by the Holy Spirit as I was writing. A little bit testimony and a whole lot of praise! I appreciate His grace so much because I have sinned so much! I do not deserve His mercy or forgiveness, yet He even blessed me with the opportunity to glorify Him amongst others. I pray many praise Him with me when they hear this song!

This is a track I wrote as a conversation. I was thinking back on my life and confronting the pain and personal failures one night and I felt like I needed to share these things with the listeners. I didn't just do it as a testimonial, I felt there was a need to put my shortcomings out to the christian community as commanded by God. I need to be accountable and open in order to free myself. This song signals time for me to start moving past this part of my life.

It tells the stories of some individuals dealing with situations that make going "the long way home" seem like the only way to receive a break from the horror their life holds. It is also a reminder that God can heal you if you let Him. With God, you don't have to go the Long Way Home.
